Spend four days in Lhasa, the spiritual heart of Tibet, exploring its most renowned landmarks. Begin with the majestic Potala Palace, rising high above the city from Red Mountain. Feel the sacred atmosphere at Jokhang Temple, then wander along Barkhor Street to witness the rhythm of local life. Continue to Norbulingka, the traditional summer retreat of successive Dalai Lamas. The journey also takes you to two of Tibet’s great monastic centers—Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery.

Day 1
📍Lhasa, Arrival
🎗Welcome to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet! Upon landing at Lhasa Gonggar Airport, you’ll be met by your local guide and driven to your hotel in the city, a journey of about 1.5 hours. After checking in, take the remainder of the day to rest and adjust to the high altitude.
Day 2
📍Lhasa, Historic Ensemble of the Potala Palace
♥Begin your adventure with a visit to the iconic Potala Palace, the very symbol of Tibet. Rising along the hillside in striking white, red, yellow, and black, this grand complex is a masterpiece of Tibetan architecture. Inside, vibrant murals and countless treasures depict breathtaking plateau landscapes, episodes from Tibetan history, and sacred Buddhist tales. Continue on to the nearby Jokhang Temple, the most revered shrine in Tibet, where you can experience the deep devotion of the Tibetan people. End the day with a stroll through the lively Barkhor Street, filled with culture, tradition, and local life.
Day 3
📍Lhasa, Atmosphere of Religion
🏆Continue your journey with a visit to Norbulingka, a classic Tibetan-style garden built in the 18th century. Spanning 360,000 square meters, it preserves ancient Tibetan architecture and cultural relics while also housing a wide variety of plants, including rare species from the Himalayas. Next, head to Drepung Monastery, the largest monastery in Tibet, nestled on the hillside. Take your time to embrace the serene atmosphere—listen to the chanting of scriptures, spin the prayer wheels, and admire the vibrant Thangka paintings on the walls. Before returning to your hotel, you’ll also have the opportunity to witness the famous debate session at Sera Monastery.
